Rajkot,: Corona has again become fatal and deadly in Rajkot. With a sharp rise in cases, the rate of hospitalization has also increased and deaths are on the rise, with the situation becoming worrisome again. Today, the number of cases rose by 100 per cent to 889 in a single day and 3 persons, including two official, have been declared dead by corona in Manpa.

According to Manpa sources, a 69-year-old woman living near ISKCON Ambito on Kankot Road and a 70-year-old woman in Ambedkar Nagar died of corona. On the other hand, according to the locals, an adult male living in the refugee colony was admitted to the Civil Hospital after being coroned and kept on ventilation where he was found to have died without any treatment. The death of four patients from the corona at the Civil Hospital has been the subject of much debate among the people.

According to official sources, the total number of positive cases of corona in the city today has reached 55,360, of which 8,560 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the city. A total of 461 patients were declared discharged today.

Meanwhile, Corona's cases are on the rise. It may be mentioned that Dr. Lalit Wanza, a health officer who had done important work during Koro's tenure, was appointed from the government for a temporary period. Apart from this, the coroner's operation has also been handed over to TB officer Dr. Kadia in Manpa, said the Municipal Commissioner.
