Corona spreading in Morbi, Rajkot, Amreli, Jamnagar, Porbandar districts

19 deaths including 2 more due to corona spread since March: 53 in Saurashtra, 397 cases in the state: two deaths in Ahmedabad-Mehsana due to corona which has become deadly again

Rajkot, : In February, the state was reporting only two or three cases per day, but with the beginning of March, the problem of dengue on one side and the epidemic on the other side has erupted. This is the fifth wave, including two mild ones. In Saurashtra, more cases are seen especially in Morbi, Rajkot, Jamnagar and Porbandar districts, even though Morbi is a small district, cases are more. Corona XBB 1.16 variant is spreading in Gujarat and this variant is considered mild but now Corona has also become deadly. It poses a particular risk to the elderly and those with other ailments. Today, including one each in Mehsana district and Ahmedabad city, 19 people have died in the new wave of Corona in about a quarter of a month and the total death toll has increased to 11065.

In Saurashtra today the highest number of cases have been reported in Morbi with 16 cases, Morbi taluka alone has 15 cases, while Tankara has one case. 2 positive cases have been reported in Jamnagar today including a young businessman and laborer who traveled to Mount Abu after a one-day break. Out of 353 tested in Porbandar, 2 cases have come positive, including a 60-year-old man from Advana and a 21-year-old man from Mocha village. Amreli district, which is the most affected, already has more cases and 8 new cases have been reported there today. Besides, 53 cases have been reported in Saurashtra, including 3 in Bhavnagar city, 2 in Rajkot district, 2 in Surendranagar district and 1 in Gir Somnath district and the cases have increased to 397 in the state.

Corona has been given an open ground to spread, masks and distances are not visible, crowding is not reduced, hand washing with sanitizer or soap is forgotten, fast food instead of simple immunity boosting food and exercise, queues are seen for cold food and drinks, and from above Corona A protective vaccine has long been frowned upon.
