Rajkot, : Medical profession is a noble medium for service, but profiteering doctors make it a tool to loot the people and the government by charging exorbitant charges for operation, bed etc. to common patients, tampering with reports. According to such complaints, a hospital named Nihit Babycare of Rajkot revealed that under the Ayushyaman Yojana, Dr. Hiren Mashroo of the hospital had tampered with the report to claim a large sum of money under Ayushman Yojana. 6,65,79,500 fine has been imposed. This is the largest fine in history which will be recovered by the government.

District Health Officer Dr. Singh said that according to the government's P.M.J.A.Y. Under the scheme families will get Rs. Health insurance cover up to 10 lakhs is provided. Dr. Hiren Mashroo's Nihit Babycare Hospital at Trishul Chowk on Laxminagar Main Road, Rajkot revealed that 116 cases were placed under this scheme and the patient reports were tampered with to get more money than verified.

This violation continued even after the hospital was notified accordingly. According to which 116 cases were rejected with a pre-authorized amount of Rs. 65,47,950 was. According to the rules, there is a provision of penalty of 10 times the amount of false claim made by the doctor or hospital in this government scheme, according to which 10 times of this amount will be paid to the Babycare Hospital by the Additional Director of the State Health Department Rs. A fine of over 6.54 crores has been imposed.

Not only that, but, if payment has been made in the above 116 claimed, it also has to be returned. Also this hospital is PMJAY. has been suspended from the scheme.

Thus, the doctor will have to pay a penalty of the same amount as it is time to sell the hospital for profit. When many doctors and hospitals across the state are trying to create huge medical bills by preparing false reports, there is a public demand for a comprehensive check on this.
