Five applicants were refunded in cyber fraud

Rajkot: Mayurraj Laljibhai Vaghela (U.V. 28, Res. Kadwa Plot Sheri No. 2, Gondal Road), who was involved in a scheme to earn money by liking photos and videos of celebrities, received Rs. 1.44 lakh was lost. Out of which he was charged Rs. 1.29 lakh was returned.

There was a message on the WhatsApp of the applicant Mayuraraj. In which it was stated that you can earn money by liking videos in addition to celebrities and their photos. So there was little compensation in the beginning. After that, the prepaid task lured higher returns through a link with separate transactions of Rs. 1.44 lakh was transferred and fraud was committed.

The second applicant received a nude call. Whose screen recording was done along with Rs. A fraud of 93 thousand was done. Regarding which the applicant applied on cybercrime helpline no. At the end of which the cyber crime police collected Rs. 24,844 were returned.

The third applicant, Nirmalbhai Gunwantbhai Makwana, completed the task by rating hotels online on his Telegram account, and was lured to earn more money with less investment. In which Rs. 96,500 were lost. Out of this, the petitioner received Rs. 78,233 cyber crimes were returned by the police.

The fourth petitioner was also lured by the completion of the task and a high compensation of Rs. 95,000 was dropped in the glass. Out of which cyber crime police collected Rs. 83,107 were returned.

Fifth, petitioner Ashokbhai's brother Darshan decided to go to Jaipur with his family. For this, Gathiya was gifted by searching the number of a hotel on Google. who identified himself as an employee of that hotel and offered a 20% discount on the applicant's credit card for a total of Rs. 2.87 lakh was cheated. About which the applicant complained on the cybercrime helpline number. On the basis of which the cybercrime police have collected Rs. 2.09 lakhs were returned.

As cyber fraud happened with these five applicants, so far cyber fraud has happened with a number of applicants. Cybercrime police are requested to be aware of this frequently. However, applicants continue to be cheated.
