Floral tributes to Sardar's statue at Somnath: Mahadev was worshiped

Devotional Celebration of Sankalp Day of the Temple: On 13 November 1947, Sardar Patel took the sea water in his hand and made the auspicious resolution of Somnath Jirnodhar.

Prabhaspatan: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who made Junagadh independent at the time of independence of the country, went to the Sagar bank of Somnath on 13 November 1947 and made a firm resolve to restore the temple. Today, 77 years have been completed since the auspicious hour. On this occasion, special worship was offered to Somnath Mahadev and the statue of Sardar in the premises of Somnath temple was worshiped with flowers.

When Sardar Patel reached Somnath after independence, he was heartbroken to see the dilapidated remains of the Somnath temple.
