
Rajkot: The number of medical emergency cases has increased by 3% for three days during the Diwali festival as compared to normal days. Due to which 30 out of 108 ambulance vans stand-U has been kept in Rajkot district.
How many vehicles will be required for emergency medical service during normal Diwali days? For this, an action plan is prepared keeping in view the case of emergency service of last five years. This year 20 ambulance vans will be working round-the-clock in Rajkot district. He said that the coordinator of Rajkot district 108 ambulance service said that in normal days 20 to 5 cases of trauma are registered. But during the Diwali festival, almost two cases are reported for three days. In other words, there are 20 to 5 cases of trauma. Therefore, 20 ambulance vans have been deployed in the district including 12 in Rajkot city. Therefore, all the health workers on duty in 108 have been asked to cancel their leave and perform their duty during the festivals.
Additional amounts including oxygen medicine have been made available for road accident, heart disease, fever, maternity women to be treated on the spot in an ambulance in an emergency. Accidents are more likely to occur as people go out of town during festivals. It is also said that in order to get emergency treatment in these circumstances as the health is deteriorating due to eating outside food, a plan has been arranged to get timely help of 108 ambulance service in Rajkot district.
