Rajkot: The contamination of social media in Saurashtra is increasing day by day. Mental stress is increasing due to the misuse of social media. A recent survey conducted by the psychology building of the university revealed shocking details. It shows that the work of spreading rumors has become instinctive due to the corruption of social media. 81% of people do not feel any pain from using social media to lie. Due to the growing influence of social media among students, parents and teachers are losing out.

Recently, the opinion of 2754 people from Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Amreli and other areas regarding the use of social media was taken by the psychology building of the university. Among them, 51 per cent said that social media was becoming a tool to spread lies. While 71.50 people said that the tendency to lie through social media cannot be stopped. If elders ask anything about photographs and writings on social media, do you answer correctly? In response to that question, 80 percent of people said that it is scary to give the correct answer. So we give up by giving wrong answer. Similarly, 89.70 per cent admitted that they were lying instead of informing parents and teachers about social media activities.

In addition, it was found that social media is useful in committing crimes. Social media should be used for good purpose but we are not yet mentally mature in that direction. Social media is a medium. It is natural to have everything good and bad in it. It is important to train them on which one to use.
