Rajkot: In order to promote sports in Gujarat, the youth and cultural department of the state in the presence of Prime Minister Modi last Dt. The state will lag behind in sports until the youth from the villages come forward for sports.

According to the old sports policy, cash prizes of Rs 3,000, Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,000 will be given to the players who come first, second or third in different sports at district level in Khel Maha Kumbh. No change has been made in this amount. Meanwhile, Satadhisho of Swarnim Gujarat Sports University said that some amendments will be made in the new sports policy of the state which will now include provisions in detail. An exercise is underway for this. This meant that the policy was hastily announced. Ta. Sports festival under Khel Maha Kumbh has started at school level from 14th.
