In Rajkot Civil, stretchers were painted saffron, white paint started as the controversy escalated

Rajkot: Controversy has arisen over the stretcher used to take the patient to the civil hospital. In two days, the color of stretchers in the emergency department has been changed to orange instead of white. However, since these color stretchers are getting lost, it has been defended that they were done by the nursing staff without anyone's permission to swim separately.

Color changed for stretcher identification
Regarding this, the medical officer working in the emergency department. Ashwin Ramani told the media that the color of the stretcher should be white, but the color has been changed by the nursing staff of the emergency department to identify the stretcher. The stretcher is often missing, which we have complained about several times. However, as the saffron color is not suitable, we have instructed to redo the white color on the stretcher. He further said that there is a shortage of staff in Rajkot Civil Hospital OPD. Staff are not being recruited despite repeated representations. When I came, there were 800 OPDs and today there are 2700 OPDs, but the staff is the same.

As the controversy grew, the color began to change
According to the medical officer, even today Rajkot emergency department has 3 medical officers, 3 peons, 1 nursing staff and 1 technician for ECG. Still more 2 medical officers should be minimum and 1 nursing staff should be more. There is a need to increase the staff in the night shift as well. The Civil Superintendent and RMO did not have to be told. Despite repeated presentations, their eyes do not open. It is worth mentioning that, after the controversy about the saffron stretcher, the stretcher has been painted white again.
