Junagadh, : The bootlegger husband of a BJP civic worker of Junagadh was ordered to appear in Bantwa Police Station in Manavadar Kart for alcohol offences, but when the bootlegger did not appear, the court ordered to confiscate his property, according to which the system today seized the bootlegger's property worth 1.82 lakhs and took further action.

According to more details about this, several liquor offenses were registered against Dhiren Amrit Kariya, the bootlegger husband of a BJP citizen living in Junagadh. Dhiren Kariya is a listed bootlegger in the police book. On 18-9-2023, a liquor offense was registered against Dhiren Kariya in Bantwa Police Station. He was absconding in this crime. Since Dhiren Kariya was not found, LCB PI. JJ Patel reported to proceed under Section 82 CrPC, on the basis of which the court issued summons to Dhiren Kariya. However, he was not present. Manavadar Court dated 19-10-2023 ordered the Collector to seize the immovable property of Dhiren Kariya and the LCB to seize the movable property, pursuant to which the staff including Mamlatdar today seized Dhiren Kariya's flat worth more than one crore in Raijibagh, worth 75 lakhs at Ramniketan on Khamdhrol Road. Four plots as well as a car and a scooter were seized by the LCB, worth a total of Rs 1.82 crore. Thus, confiscation of properties of bootlegger who did not appear in court led to a furore among the accused who did not appear in court.

Tantra had information about Dhiren Kariya's shops in a complex opposite Bahauddin College, but when Tantra reached there to seal these shops, it was revealed that these shops had been sold to others. Hence the officials left from there.
