Dungari Ingorala village of Dhari taluka of Amreli district is dependent on agriculture and animal husbandry and farm labour. Canals were constructed by the government for the villages coming under Shell Dedumal Dam of Hatsani village near the village 20 years ago with the approach that farmers can cultivate perennially. But since water was never released in the canals for irrigation, now the canals have become dilapidated and the canals flowing for the water of the canals have completely stopped. Only the locks of the canals are being seen. The pipe line connecting the canals is also broken and the plan to provide water for irrigation to the farmers is only on paper now.
Till today the farmers of Dungri Ingorala village are troubled by not releasing water in the canals. For 7 to 8 villages of Dungri Ingorala, Ditla, Kami Kerala, Samdhiala, the canals have been proving to be just an ornament for 20 years. Now the canals are being maintained but till today there is no water in the canals. It is the responsibility of the farmers not to leave. Then the farmers have demanded to make the canals operational at the time of the Lok Sabha elections.
