Still this trend continues suspiciously with the connivance of the officials and functionaries of the municipality. At that time, a fierce public outcry came to the surface against the transaction of allotting land worth around 600 to 700 crore rupees in Jaibhimnagar area to the builder JP Structure Pvt Ltd for only 103 crore rupees.

More than 400 families have been living for years on a 56,092 sq.m. land in Jaibhimnagar, opposite Gol Residency on Nanamwa Road, touching Kalavad Road, Rajkot's most prime location. The land prices are skyrocketing due to surrounding development. At that time, the municipality adopted corrupt practices and established Dharar PPP. Retenders have been released for housing schemes. In which the highest offer is only 103 crore rupees, but instead of canceling it, it has been kept pending.
On Thursday (September 26th), local residents including Kishore Jadav, Amrit Dafda, Bipin Shekhwa, Praful Chauhan, Lalit Dafda from Jaibhimnagar, after earlier presentations, said that the BJP rulers and officials of the municipality have tried to corrupt the builder in such a way that the people will lose 500 to 600 crore rupees in this land of the poor. In the lead, hundreds of people set out on foot and reached the municipal office on Dhebar Road, about 6 km away, shouting slogans.

A self-destructive scream was uttered
Seeing a large number of people coming, the police were deployed in the municipality and all the gates were closed. Later Municipal Commissioner DP Desai came out and assured the leaders to take positive action regarding the cancellation of the PPP scheme. People said, 'If this land is to be given at the jantri rate, we are ready to pay that price, but we will not let the builders get this land owned by the poor at any time and threatened to self-destruct if the municipality implements this plan.'
