Engineer dies in an accident near Atal Sarovar, wife injured

Rajkot: An aspiring engineer riding on the bike was killed in front of his wife when the driver of an Eicher rammed the bike from the wrong side near Atal Sarovar on the new 150 feet ring road in Rajkot last night. After the accident, the driver left Eicher and ran away.

According to the details received from the Gandhigram-R Police, Nayan Mukeshbhai Virdia (U.V.RP) of Mota Bhadra village in Jamkandorana was an electrical engineer. He was currently working in a Metoda company. Lived in Metoda with his wife. Went out for a bike ride with wife Happy last night.

The driver of Eicher, who had veered from the wrong side while approaching the gate of Atal Lake, hit his bike and his head hit the wheel plate of the Eicher. Due to which the skull was cracked. Not only this, the legs were also sprained, and he died a gruesome death on the spot.

A crowd gathered at the spot following the accident. One of them called 108. The injured Happyben was shifted to a private hospital. The staff of Gandhigram-r police also reached the spot and seized the Eicher who caused the accident.

The tragedy is that Nayan got married just six months ago. His unexpected death cast a shadow over the family. Gandhigram-r police have started efforts to register a crime.
