A friend grabbed 9.32 lakhs by offering a job in Gandhinagar M.N.P

A bogus call letter was made and sent in the post: The engineer of Chodhwadi found it costly to trust the person from Kotharia of Vadwan taluk who had studied with him earlier.

Junagadh, : A young engineer living in Choshwadi of Besan taluk was lured by a friend who studied with him earlier to get him a job in the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation and transferred 9.32 lakh rupees at different times. Then Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation sent a bogus collator in the post. After that the phone stopped receiving. In this regard, the youth filed a complaint on the basis of which the Bhesan police have registered a case against the man of Kotharia village of Wadwan taluka and taken further action.

Bhavin Ratilal Jetani (age 24), a resident of Chodwadi in Bhesan taluk, was studying at Government College Bhuj in 2016 when he met Devendra Kishore Hadyal of Kotharia village in Vadwan taluk. There was also a friendship between the two. Devendra Hadyal was then detained from the college. Both were talking on the phone. Bhavinbhai returned to Choshwadi village after working in Ahmedabad, Baroda. In September 2023, he received a call from Devendra while going for an interview in Ahmedabad. In which Devendra said 'Bhavin I have contact to get government job but have to give money'. Giving a yes to the prospect, Devendra said that 'for a job in Gandhinagar Municipality, one and a half lakhs will have to be paid and the job will be given on a three-year bond'. Bhavin Jetani transferred one and a half lakh rupees online from 30-9-2023 to 9-11-2023. After the money was transferred, Devendra called and said, 'You have to make an affidavit of Gandhinagar document verification'. Hence, Bhavi went to Gandhinagar and made an affidavit of verification.

After giving the money, Devendra asked Bhavi about the job and said, 'Now the permanent recruitment will come for four and a half lakh rupees, one and a half lakh have already been given, now you have to pay three lakh'. After trusting Bhavi, he transferred three lakh rupees from cut to cut. Devendra had sent the joining letter in the post by sending the photos of the post office slip. Then the affidavit he made in Gandhinagar was returned to Bhavin's house. When he called Bhavi and inquired about not getting the order, Devendra said, 'Your work is done, the setting with the collector has been changed, we will give two lakh rupees to the new boss and the work will be done.' Another two lakh rupees were transferred to Bhavi. After giving the money, Devendra called Bhavinbhai to Gandhinagar and gave him a collator. "Everything has been completed from Gandhinagar, but the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation wants three lakh rupees, we will give three lakh rupees, so we will get a permanent job order." Thus, Devendra, who was lured to give a job, extorted a total of Rs 9.32 lakhs from Bhavin Jetani by giving a bogus collator in return. Bhavin Jetani filed an application in the Bhesan Police Station on the basis of which the Bhesan Police registered a case against Devendra Kishore Hadyal of Kotharia village of Vardwan Taluk and conducted further investigation.
