The 13 people involved in the case are currently languishing in jail. The case was registered against four builders, including well-known builder Nilesh Tolia, former BJP corporator Atul Bhanderi, retired police chief Vasram Ahir and 12 others, including Advocate VL Mansata, who is Jayesh Patel's lawyer. The involvement of four other persons was then revealed. Police arrested the accused, including lawyer Mansata, at the time.
The police then filed a three-thousand-page chargesheet in the Special Gujsitok Court in Rajkot. Meanwhile, five accused had applied for bail in different courts.
