Girnar, which is always teeming with tourists, is now quiet due to the scorching heat

On normal days, Girnar and Bhavnath foothills are crowded with tourists but now during the summer heat, it is hotter in Bhavnath and on Girnar than in Junagadh city, so Bhavnath and Girnar are sleeping without tourists.

Girnar Parvat and Bhavnath foothills are well known across the country for Shivratri fairs and green walks. There are many shrines on Girnar. Apart from this, Asia's largest ropeway is also at Girnar due to which tourists from home and abroad visit Girnar. Every day the stairs of Girnar and the religious places on Girnar are crowded with pilgrims, but like every year this year too Girnar is empty during the summer season. Girnar receives a small number of pilgrims during summer. Pilgrims who come visit Girnar in the early morning or late evening as the days are very hot and during the summer days the stairs of Girnar are empty.

People generally avoid visiting Girnar during the scorching heat of summer as the temperature in Girnar is three to five degrees higher than Junagadh city in summer. If it is winter then Girnar is colder than Junagadh city and if it is summer season then Girnar is hotter than Junagadh city. It feels more hot because of climbing stairs. Due to many such reasons Girnar vacancy is observed during summer season. Pilgrims who want to visit Girnar in summer start climbing Girnar early in the morning or late in the evening so that they can do the pilgrimage in cool weather. First-time pilgrims to Girnar are not aware of the heat of Girnar in the summer season. So they slowly start climbing the stairs of Girnar. But now it is also happening that those who climb fifty-hundred steps immediately stop their journey due to the extreme feeling of heat. Bhavnath foothills can be seen during the summer days. Some shops are also closed during the day. A large number of Junagadh residents reach the foothills of Bhavnath to cool off at night in Bhavnath.
