Up to two inches of rain with gusty winds in Amreli district

- Heavy thunder in the middle of stormy atmosphere
- In the rural areas of Amreli, Lathi, Babra, Vadiya, Kunkawav, Bagsara, Khambha, Dhari, Liliya, mathwano khere, the cultivation of crops has turned.
Amreli: Unseasonal rains lashed most areas of Amreli district today. Storms accompanied by lightning strikes and gusty winds caused heavy damage to crops including sesame, soybean, chickpea, wheat, cumin, onion and coriander. The animal fodder was also soaked.
Rain started in Amreli district from early morning amid heavy clouds. Heavy rains lashed Amreli and Bhandaria and surrounding areas. Torrential rains lashed the villages on the Gir bank of Khambha. Dhudhwana, Bhad, Nanudi, Pipalwa, Khadadhar, Nanudi, and Dedan received heavy rains. There was rain in Gir Panthak too. In which there was rain along with hail in Dhari, Kubda, Sarsia, Jar, Morjar, Chalala. A mini storm blew in Liliya Panthak. Heavy winds and unseasonal rains caused heavy damage. Trees fell and wedding mandap and vijpole fell and there was heavy loss in agricultural crops. In Savarkundla Panthak, Mevasa, Dhajdi, Amritvel and other villages were rained along with lightning strikes.
Lathi, Babra, Wadiya, Kunkawav were observed to have unseasonal rain. An inch or so of rain fell in Bagsara and villages including Shapar, Sudavad, Ludhia, New-Juni Haliyad, Maljinjwa, Balapur, Pithdia of the taluk. The ravi crop has been severely damaged. Unseasonal rains lashed Jafarabad diocese. A 17-year-old youth named Bhawesh Karshanbhai Vaghela died in Rohisa village after being electrocuted twice in a single day. While Jagabhai Bambhaniya, a middle-aged man was injured due to electric shock and was shifted for treatment.
In the coastal belt areas of Jafarabad, Mawtha caused heavy damage to agricultural crops. Rajula Panthak also experienced unseasonal showers.
