Earlier, a complaint was lodged against three persons from Surat, Ahmedabad and Jamnagar for cheating with a Mendarda trader.

Junagadh: Police have registered a case against three persons for taking Rs 18.06 lakh from a Mangrol trader and demanding wheat in confidence. According to further details, Kanabhai Keshavbhai Odedra, a trader living in Mangrol, was identified as a partner of Gujarat Industries and called Rajesh Kothari to order wheat. He later sent a truckload of 4.78 lakh wheat. He owed money and asked to pay in five or six days. Later two trucks sent wheat. Later, despite repeated phone calls, they did not pay. According to earlier reports, Kanabhai had called Kishor Markana from Surat and Dilip Kalsaria, now living in Ahmedabad. But they paid Rs 2 lakh and promised to pay the rest. But did not give. Later Kanbhai was investigating who called in the name of Rajesh Kothari. He was identified as Sajid Rahim Rasalia of Jamnagar.

Today, Kanabhai Odedra has lodged a complaint against Kishore Ranchod Markana of Surat, Dilip Vallabh Kalsaria of Ahmedabad and Sajid Rahim Rasalia of Jamnagar for not paying a total of Rs 18.06 lakh of wheat. Mendarda police have arrested Dilip Vallabh Kalsaria, a native of Hadmatia Gir in Talala taluka and now a resident of Ahmedabad, from Gandhidham in Kutch and granted him a three-day remand. Junagadh DYSP Pradipsinh Jadeja said that Dilip Patel had earlier been booked for alcohol in Bilkha, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Gondal, Tankara, Negotiable Instruments Act in Junagadh, 306 in Surat and also in Ahmedabad. He had been cheating traders with these mods operandi for the last ten years.
