Builders from Rajkot and Ahmedabad locked the house and fled

Police also raided two places, including the Ozone Group office in Ahmedabad, in a case of forcing Advocate Mahendra Faldu to commit suicide.

Rajkot: Seven builders from Rajkot and Ahmedabad have fled in a case of forcing Rajkot advocate, builder and Patidar leader Mahendra Faldu to commit suicide. The houses and offices of the seven accused were raided by the police today. But not a single accused was arrested. Not only that, most of the accused were found hanging at their homes. Advocate Mahendra Faldu committed suicide by choking himself after consuming poisonous drug in his office named Kalpataru Properties on the second floor of Nakshatra Building-3 opposite Raiya Telephone Exchange yesterday morning.

Before committing suicide, he wrote a suicide note blaming seven builders of the Ozone Group in Ahmedabad besides Rajkot for his suicide. The suicide note said that he, his family, relatives, friends, etc. had bought land in a project called The Tusk Beach City in Baldana village in Bavala taluka of Ahmedabad district. But due to rising land prices, builders are committing suicide as they are not able to provide documents.

Late yesterday evening, the police had registered a case against seven builders under sections including forcing them to commit suicide on the complaint of Mahendrabhai's son Priyank. Not only that, a seat was created for the investigation of this case.

Four teams of police were formed to nab the accused. Crime Branch and Gandhigram-II police team left for Ahmedabad only yesterday. The two teams searched the houses of the five accused in Ahmedabad as well as the office of the Ozone Group. But not a single accused was found.

Teams working in Rajkot searched the houses of two accused living in Rajkot. But the two accused were also not found. Accused Mansukh Madhavji Patel of Rajkot lives in Anupama Society Street No. 1 on Amin Marg. Another accused Amit Chauhan lives in Nakshatra-2 near Raiya Telephone Exchange.

In Ahmedabad, accused Atul Pratapbhai Mehta lives in Ashoknagar Society behind Jodhpur Tekra, Sundarbans Society of Satellite. Pranay Kantilal Patel lives in Thaltej's Utsav Row House. The Ozone-Tuscany office is located next to the Rajpath Club, while the office of Mr. Key West Developers is located at Shivalik Corporate House, police said. Both of these places have also been investigated.
