An ex-boyfriend of a college girl living in the city has threatened to kill her fianc by creating a fake ID and sending nasty messages on social media. In this regard, the Cyber ​​Crime Police has registered a case against accused Chirag Ramesh Kataria, who lives in Manavadar, and has taken steps to arrest him.

According to the victim, she has studied up to BCom. Her engagement took place three months ago. It uses apps including Instagram, Snapchat and WhatsApp.

Two and a half months ago, someone texted her fianc using her fake Instagram ID. So when his fianc called him he said he hadn't texted.

He had lodged an application with the Cyber ​​Crime Police on March 29 after he came to know that someone had created his fake ID. He then created another fake Instagram ID from which his relatives were messaged. Not only that, his mother also received threatening text messages from time to time.

No one but several Instagram fake IDs sent messages to her and her family members as well as relatives to break off her engagement. Her fianc was constantly receiving threatening messages.

Her father once received a threatening call to break off her engagement. Cybercrime police sought information from Snapchat in addition to Instagram based on the application. Because Snapchat also created some fake IDs and messages were coming from them. After receiving information from the cyber crime police, it was found out that this act belonged to Chirag of Manavadar. On the basis of which an offense was registered against him under sections 356 (d), 506 (ii) of the IPC and sections of the IT Act.

The victim further said in the complaint that she had a love affair with accused Chirag about a year ago. Due to which both of them were talking on mobile from time to time. This is the reason why Chirag did this act.
