In Saurashtra, more than 50 per cent candidates are absent in the Forest Conservator examination

Once again, 57.23 per cent candidates were not present in Rajkot due to allegations of paper exploding.

Rajkot: Amid allegations of paper exploding once again, examinations were held today in different districts of Saurashtra, including Rajkot, for the post of Class-3 Forest Conservator in the Forest Department. The exam was held in a peaceful atmosphere in Saurashtra but the candidates who appeared for the exam were disappointed with the paper burst. In most of the districts of Saurashtra, more than 50 per cent candidates are appearing in the exams.

When the Forest Department announced the recruitment for 334 posts in the year 2016, after filling the form, the examination was finally held today. Responsibility for the examination was assigned to the University. Centers were set up in 140 buildings in Rajkot district today. Rajkot District Education Officer said that out of total 40157 candidates registered in the district for Forest Conservator Class-3 examination, 17172 candidates appeared for the examination. In terms of percentage, 42.77 per cent candidates were present and 57.23 per cent avoided appearing for the examination. Frequent paper explosions are causing frustration among the youth. There have been allegations of paper leaks in Unawatuna in the Forest Conservator's examination.

The examination was conducted in 279 rooms in 28 buildings in Jamnagar. Out of total 8352 candidates in Jamnagar district, only 4067 were absent. The reasons for the drop in the number of candidates due to frequent paper bursts and lack of adequate preparation are being discussed. In Junagadh district 13980 candidates were registered in 45 centers out of which only 6533 candidates appeared for the examination and 53% were absent.

Paper Average: Questions pertaining to the Forest Department were tough

In the examination held in different districts from 12 to 2 this afternoon, there was a paper of 200 marks and 100 questions were asked. The questions pertaining to the forest department were tough. A question related to Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav was also asked in the examination of forest conservator. The examinees said that the paper was average.
