Power supply restored to all areas in Saurashtra except Shayal Bat

Rajkot, : Power supply has been restored to more than 2500 villages in Saurashtra Kutch after Biparjoy storm last week. The top circles of PGVCL have said that power supply has been resumed in all the villages of Saurashtra except this village due to the breaking of the marine cable in Shialbet of Amreli. Elaborating further, the sources said that the loss figure to PGVCL has crossed 125 crores due to the storm. However, this figure is likely to increase as the survey work is still going on. Electricity supply has been disrupted in 26 villages of Anjar Circle of Kutch. Various teams are working on a regular basis to make it operational in two or three days. While 811 feeders of Khatiwadi are closed. These include 53 feeders in Morbi, 88 in Jamnagar, 425 in Bhuj and 245 in Anjar.
PGVCL's pillar suffered the most damage in the storm. Among them 89 in Rajkot city, 2542 in Rajkot rural, 4281 in Morbi, 2183 in Porbandar, 1876 in Junagadh, 28292 in Jamnagar, 6235 in Bhuj, 8805 in Anjar, 745 in Bhavnagar, 415 in Botad, 1155 in Alimar and 564 in Surendranagar.
