Rajkot: Government is preparing new infrastructure to reduce traffic load in Gujarat. Under that, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the overbridge prepared at Madhapar Chowkdi in Rajkot today. Many questions were raised due to the slow functioning of the overbridge but finally after a delay of 6 months the bridge has been opened for vehicular traffic. With the opening of this bridge, more than 60 thousand motorists will get relief from traffic every day.

Traffic snarls were frequent near Madhapar Chowkdi. But now motorists will get relief from traffic hassles by moving from Rajkot to Jamnagar, Ahmedabad. Motorists of Jamnagar, Morbi and Devbhoomi Dwarka districts will get relief from traffic. The overbridge was opened but the government still faced a problem. The length of the bridge is 1125 meters and the width is 2x11 meters

Collector Prabhav Joshi said that the length of this bridge, which will be launched by the Chief Minister, is 1125 meters and 2x11 meters wide, 8.8 meters wide service roads on both sides of this overbridge have been prepared by the state road and building department. The bridge is equipped with street lights as well as drainage facilities for rainwater drainage. A 50 meter wide junction has also been constructed at Madhapar Chowkdi and 30 meter wide to go from Madhapar village to Ishwariya Park for smooth movement of overbridge vehicles.
