In Porbandar, people are showing indifference against corona vaccination. 5,000 people are left to take the first dose and 30,000 people are left to take the second dose. With the number of corona cases declining in the district, people are showing indifference towards vaccination. Due to which continuous efforts are being made by the system for 100% vaccination.

The second wave of Corona in Porbandar proved to be dangerous. In view of this situation, the government has stepped up its anti-coronary vaccination campaign and has been successful. In which response was received in the first dose. But people are showing reluctance to take the second dose of the vaccine. As a result, more than 30,000 people have not yet received the second dose of the vaccine. Constant efforts are being made by the system for this.

The first dose of the vaccine has been administered by 4,3,121 people against a total target of 2,8,612 in the district. Thus, the first dose has been worked out by 2.18%, out of which 2,3,8 people have taken the second dose. Thus, 2.5% of the second dose has been completed. However, more than 3,000 people have not yet taken the first dose. The number of people who have taken the first dose and are missing the second dose is 20,000. Thus there is indifference among the people regarding vaccines.

Recently a new variant of Corona has come up against Omicron. Preparations have been started to face it. According to experts, corona vaccine is effective against new variants. This has led to the system trying to get everyone to get the corona vaccine. Vaccination is being carried out in government hospitals, primary health centers, anganwadis as well as public places.

With fewer cases of corona, the fear of corona has diminished, and now people have become careless with vaccines. Some people are not ready to be vaccinated. It is being said that even in Porbandar, people will become serious about the vaccine only if both the doses of vaccine are made mandatory for access to public places, gardens etc.
