Brokers erupted to fill out Coro's death aid form

The government has announced assistance to the families of those killed in Corona, but many government offices have been hit hard. Complaints are being raised that brokers who take advantage of the compulsion to collect the documents required to fill the form are out of breath.

People in the villages do not have complete information on where to get the form and what documents to attach and to which office to deliver the form. Complaints are being raised that some youths at the local level are contacting such people for help from Corona and paying them to fill up Coro's help form. Many people have lost their reports of corona test and are now trying to get the report back. Some people are compelled to fill up the form by giving money as they do not have the required evidence for assistance. After standing in queues for hours, they are getting the certificate of cause of death. In addition, the form is being downloaded from the web site but many people are filling the form by paying money as they are not aware of it.

Officials attached to the health department had expressed fears that people were pouring in applications for Corona's help. The official book showed the official death toll in Rajkot district at Rs 3 lakh but the forms were coming in thousands. Even after the payment was made, the process of paying aid continued even today. Sources in the Collectorate said that about 50 more applications have been approved today and assistance has been paid. The number of forms the system has is also increasing as aid payments are being expedited.
