Early season soybean prices in Junagadh market yard worry farmers

Junagadh, : Farmers in Junagadh district have shifted towards soybean cultivation. New soybean income has also started in the marketing yard. Today, 1007 quintals of soybeans were received in the yard in a single day. At the beginning of the new season, the farmers are getting worried at the price of Rs.911 per maund.

For the last two years in Junagadh district, farmers have shifted to groundnut, cotton and soybean cultivation. An estimated 58783 hectares have been planted in nine taluks in Junagadh district. There has also been an increase in the income of soybeans produced in Mablakh. 1007 quintal soybeans were received in the marketing yard today. In the auction, farmers will be charged Rs. per 20 kg. 911 quotes were received.

Farmers of the district are turning to soybean crop cultivation as there is less wastage in soybean crop and there is no question of hybridization. Farmers cultivated soybeans with the hope of higher prices at the time of crop production, but at the beginning of the new season, the market prices of soybeans are at the bottom, farmers are worried.

Visavdar has the highest cultivation of soybeans

Soybean has been planted in 58783 hectares in Junagadh district. In which the highest 19000 in Visavadar, followed by 13465 in Junagadh rural, Mendara 9200, Vanthali 4830, Bhesan 4610, Manavadar 4530, Maliyahati 1950, Keshod 538, Junagadh city 350 and least 310 hectares in Mangrol.
