Millions of wasted water bill in Sauni also Rajkot Manpani Shire!

Due to lack of pipeline from Tramba to Aji Dam, work on Nyari Dam was going on and Sauni's water was stopped in Aji.

Rajkot,: Every year since the inauguration of Sauni Yojana on Aji-1 dam in Rajkot in 2017, every year till now water comes in Sauni Yojana dam. And then Aji comes to the dam. Thus, before the water comes, according to the officials of Manpa, about 30% of the water goes to fill the check dam and all those water bills of crores of rupees are given to Manpa.

In five years, Manpa has been hit with a total bill of Rs 92 crore including interest. Rs.1000 per 1000 liters of Sauni scheme. 4.18 is charged. According to Manpa sources, about 70 per cent of the water released from the Tramba pumping station is stored in this dam. However, according to the sources of Irrigation Department, the work of laying Sauni pipeline of 7 km from Aji Dam to Tramba is in progress at present.

Meanwhile, 700 mcft in Aji Dam this year. And 350 mcft at Nyari Dam. It has been decided to provide water from Sauni scheme. The water has come but the pumping has stopped today. The reason for this is that according to the technical condition, both the demos have to be supplied with water, but in Nyari-1 dam, work is still going on to replace the rubber beams to prevent leakage in 11 gates, due to which Sauni water will be supplied to both the demos together.
